Is Captain Marvel Movie that Marvelous?

I had watched Captain Marvel few days ago. And here are my thoughts and review of Captain Marvel Movie. Attention! I might spoil some although I've tried my best not to spoil but it might slip through somewhere. If you don't wish to be spoiled, you better watched the movie before reading my review.

I was expecting something big in this movie but alas it just not that marvelous as I thought. Every thing is just ordinary and nothing is out of ordinary unless the overpower main superhero herself. I feel like the story line wasn't thrilled quite a lot of superhero movie fans. It was because most of the superhero lovers love the adrenaline of the fighting scenes in the movie such as how the main character work so hard just to defeat the enemy. Maybe as the strongest superhero, Captain Marvel is seen as too powerful for her enemy that making this movie is less exciting than other superhero movies. Throughout the film was just information rather than fights. I assumed that they had to put quite a lot of information to fill us more knowledge of Captain Marvel and thus the action scene had to be that way. This movie is covered with a little bit of comedy though not all jokes work on me but I like it. It kinda remind me of Thor Ragnarok kind of jokes but this is better I guess. Anyway the jokes didn't cause the change in the character's trait that makes it tolerable.

I found the acting of the casts are all good. I don't know why people keeps on raging about how Brie Larson is not good enough for this movie, but in my opinion she did just fine. None of her act is making me uncomfortable although I believe she could done better. Samuel L. Jackson is still my favourite in this movie, he just kill it. (C'mon I couldn't be the only one who think about this right?)

Something that I love and quite appreciate in the movie is the art and prop that is used to symbolized the old days. It hit me like they really put some effort there such as the blockbuster, the telephone booths, vehicles, pagers and else. I gotta say they did great even the soundtrack is nice. Using country song genre really hits me right there, yep right at my heart.

The VFX and CGI is probably something I would comment. I found out that the editing of the CGI is rather coarse. I wouldn't expect that quality of editing in the movie and it really disappointed me. Even my friend with no expertise in the field could point out the CGI fails, I mean what could be worse. This is the main reason that the movie didn't leave an awesome impression on me. Just as I get out of the theatre I was like "Okay.. The movie is just okay."

I will give this movie around 7/10, this movie is okay to watch but not good enough as an amazing one. That's all my review of the Captain Marvel movie. Oh and I thought of X-men Storm when Captain Marvel using the outer space suit, do you also think they had the resemblance? (I love Flerken <3)
