Haze over My Hometown
This few weeks, my hometown is covered by the haze produced by the forest fire. Yes, it is hazardous! Just to let you know I live in Indonesia precisely in the North Sumatra.
Thankfully these two days, rain has been pouring. The haze probably will be gone by few percent although that I know it will be back tomorrow. At first, I wasn't really care of what's going on because I thought that a surgical mask is enough to cover my nose and mouth. But one after another thoughts just keep landing my mind and I couldn't keep silent anymore!
Imagine living in a city with a thick haze like in a movie where a ninja will pop out any seconds. Imagine you're driving in the road but you feel like you're driving on the highland at night. Imagine that you are grounded at your house because your parents told you not to leave the house. Imagine you couldn't do even the simplest things that everyone could do. For example I couldn't go to school because of the haze. I couldn't jog around in the morning comfortably because there is no fresh morning air. IT IS MISERABLE!!!! And I don't think a surgical mask could do much as I know we will also encounter the respiration problem in the end.
But I can do nothing. I don't have any power to make all the haze vanished in a second. (If I could, everyone should thank this magical girl over here but I couldn't) The only thing I could do is hoping. Hoping the government action in handling this horrible forest fire and the haze will progress significantly. And after this incident, I do hope there's no more forest fire happening again in the future!
