University General Orientation
I have been accepted in one of the independent university in Indonesia. And on 8th till 13th of August I participated the Freshmen Enrichment Program (FEP). Today, I really wanna share my experience and thoughts :)
August 8th
It's the first day, just like usual we are trying to get to know with each other. We, Freshmen, are being called the Buddies. While the seniors who guided us through the orientation are called the Buddy Coordinators or BC for short. I was in CBN 13 class and I have 8 lovely BCs. They are Andy, Tanya, Meichen, Richie, Richard, Alicia, Monique and Meggy. O. The first day, the buddies are told to wear anything as long as it doesn't breaks the dress code violation. As buddies, that day, we are informed about the FEP rules, our universities anthem.
August 9th
The buddies wore white short-sleeved shirt and black trousers. We are informed about the soft skills and hard skills that we could gain from being university students. And we are introduced to the university platform that we could use to monitor every activities. The BC also shows us some projects that we might encounter on the first semester. They are all so awesome and they keep me in awe throughout the session.
August 10th
In the morning at 8, I join the Binus Square Seminar. Binus Square is my dormitory hall. Yes, that's right! I'll be living in the dorms soon. At 11.00, we are moving to the auditorium on the 4th floor. We are ready for the event called 'Bunga Rampai'. Eventually, this event was about introducing every student co-curricular activity that we might be able to join later. It was fun. I actually wanna join all but you know that we need to be realistic. There are no way I could join all of them. The event was actually really late and I am very beat.
August 11th
In the morning, same time, same place, same activity. Yes another Binus Square Seminar. The next session was about how to check our class schedules, what do we need to do before the test and so on. The BC also share some of their experience to warn us for some unwanted things. I'm grateful they do so. Because the session was quite short, we continue to create more ideas for our class yell yell that we performed on August 13th. The BC also informed us to submit some letters or artwork as some sort of gratifications by the next day. The time I arrived home, I quickly wrote those letters and find some inspirations on the internet because I don't have envelope and I need to fold the letters into envelope style.
August 12th
In the morning, we practice our yell yell again. And at 11 we are separated accourding to our religion to be bought to the auditorium to introduce us to the religious community. Then we are brought back to the class. We took picture of the class together. Pose and click. And there she comes, the lecturer, she is awesome. I like her she really change my perspective. Nice motivation section there. Before we moving to the auditorium we submit our letters or artwork or sweets to the BC. In the auditorium, we were introduced to the rector and he have a speech in front.
August 13th
Last day, we were practicing the last time before performing. I go through all the expo and join some. Fun expo that reminds me of high school SSEC expo :'') Damn! After a lot of those we were brought to our faculty community centre. Again another fun place to go! I have great fun screaming like CRAZY. And the last the gatherings, where all the freshmen of CBN batch gather and perform the class yell yell. Our class perform second. My opinion? My class performance wasn't the best or perfect but for me that is some fun performance that I never regret doing :") Then another selfie session, I miss all of them.
And that's it some preview of my FEP session. One thing that change me during this session is the freaking short timing for lunch. For literally 6 days having f up lunch time :) thanks. Overall, everything is amazingly wonderful.
