10 Facts About ME
I realised that I have never introduce myself properly in this blog soooooo..... I am gladly presenting you 10 FACTS about ME!
#1. I was born under the name of VERONICA FANGINIA
My mom has told me once that she wanna name me "Bernalia" but my father doesn't seem to like it. So where does the name Veronica came from? Apparently my father had his first phone when I was about to born. He makes a phone call to someone but that other person wasn't answering and the phone operator was mentioning the word "VERONICA" which I believe is sort of a promo title or whatever. There you go, now you know where it comes from.
Fanginia is not an actual word. You may check on the internet and I assure you there is no meaning behind it. It is something that my parents made up from my Chinese name. My Chinese name ended with the character "fang" so they added "inia" to make it more nicer to the ear. (the same goes to my sister) I seriously don't know how to pronounce it correctly but I like it to be pronounce as FAN-GEE-KNEE-UH. Let me tell you something. Actually some people have a problem reading it and read it as "women's v". It happens to me once in a 101class when the teacher was calling our names on the attendance, literally everyone was laughing. (lessoned learned: don't name your child name that could be misread)
Well, some of you might ask where is my last name, surname or family name? I don't have one written on my birth certificate. It was because my dad (typical traditional Chinese) doesn't think that it is necessary to put a surname after your daughter's name because after all daughter will take their husband name after the marriage (you see these gender role thing flowing in my family? SEXES. One of the reason why I loathe DISCRIMINATION).
#2. I was born on 4th April 1998
I was born on Saturday 4th of April 1998 in Indonesia (If you don't know where Indonesia is, I am sure you know Bali or Lombok or Raja Ampat, they are part of Indonesia or at least wikipedia is available anytime.) That makes me a 18 years old now. I have just graduated from high school this year. And all I have in my mind is which uni will be given to me from the entrance exam.... (I hate waiting)
#3. My favourite color? It depends.
I know that some people have this solid favourite color. But throughout my life, I have changed my favourite color, from pink to yellow to red to green to blue to mint to aquamarine. But does these colors meant a thing to me? The answer is no, I have no thoughts of buying things in the same freaking color every time I go shopping. Seriously it depends on my mood and what color that suits the product well and so on. Trust me I always got stuck when choosing which color should I buy. (Guess I'm such an indecisive person.....)
#4. I love singing, reading and drawing
I love singing so much, when I was young I love to sing along some tv series soundtrack. It is the only way I do to distract myself from a lot of stresses I've dealt with. I'm also very glad that SMULE has created Sing! and it makes me feel at eased. Music is part of my life!
Reading Novels is part of my way to keep my brain working especially my imagination section. Every word that I read on the novels, tend to pop up in my head as a mini clip. So as I read, I imagine the scene in my head just as watching a movie. If I had read the novels, that means no watching the movies. It was because sometimes the movie has some disputes with your own directing mind that you don't wanna watch it just to avoid dissatisfaction.(as if i'm a pro director)
Drawing has got into my nerves. I love to see some artwork out there in the internet world. It just so fabulous that I can spend my time scrolling my screen to search for more. The more I search, the more inspirations I got for my drawing. I used to really love maths when I was young, but when I get older I kinda love biology and art class. I think of human body as part of art. I know it sounds weird but it just amazing when you could see what is going on underneath those skin that covering you. It seems like a complex yet abstract work of art. I love drawing because it contains my thoughts, my soul. I gotta say that I am not a person that could show affection or express myself in a concrete action easily. I tend to show my affection to someone through something like words of poem, drawing, or music. Because of that, drawing and writing is my only way to express myself to everyone.
#5. I am one of the person who likes to talk to themselves
I am not crazy as you think I am yet it is not as normal as you think I am. When you heard about talking to oneself you might thought of me talking nonsense or just trying encouraging myself like saying "YOU CAN DO IT!" Well it is not something like that. I like to talk about what is there on my mind like rambling to the wind in my room. It all started when I was young. I couldn't just go to bed and shut my eyes for a few second to be in a state of deep slumber. I literally can't sleep. So I love to imagine that I was in an imagination world that I have in my mind. And I started acting out like there were bunch of script. And it started to developed and here I am talking to myself but talking about stuff that is bothering my mind. Yep! Mainly I was alone, but there's a time I forgot I wasn't alone and it was bad because someone might think I am crazy or some sort because you suddenly babbling and laughing. I know that's creepy but trust me there is a very small chance to caught me do so. It's like 0,00000000000000000001% chance.
#6. I am a paranormal freak
I used to dislike horror movie because I couldn't sleep after watching one. My brother mocked me when I took a pillow and close my eyes with it before the ghost appear or when the jumpscare really got me. So I said to myself that I would not be mocked by him from now on. So I started to watched all of the horror movies scheduled on the tv and watched all of them. As the result, I love horror movies afterwards. I even tell the stories to one of my friend who likes ghost too. Sometimes I made up stories and tell her that I watched it on tv.(I'm sorry mate. But you are one of the reason I wanna befriend ghosts just like you) It's not torturing movies (you know I was talking about SAW series... please those makes my whole body weak) that i like because there is no paranormal in it, it's just psycopath. I am a believer of ghost and demons. I'm not really scared of them even when I'm alone or in the dark. (Seriously when I'm alone in my house there is just one thing that I am really afraid of and it is someone break into my house from my rooftop.) I personally have seen a person being possessed just a foot away from me. I saw them being exorcise in front of my eyes. That event makes me believed that some entities could possessed us while before I only believe that they exist alongside with us. Paranormal theme series on the tv is my favourite.
#7. I am quite emotional
Yes I cried a lot. I cried reading some romantic novels which i tend to avoid a lot, I cried when a character died in a novel or in a movie, I cried because celebrity died, I cried because some people died too young or when I think they are not worth to be death, I cried when I see old homeless people and I cried because of anxiety problems I have. Yeah! I guess too much tears in my life. Besides tears, I show anger pretty much. I didn't throw things that will hurt you. It's just arguments. I didn't hate you if you done something bad to me as I will forget it like within hours and I'll return to normal. Some of my friend thought I was pissed off while actually I'm not. I don't know if it's because of my voice is raising a bit or maybe I wasn't really understand the word angry. Therefore, if you are my classmates or my friends, I would like to tell you don't bother if I raised my voice a little bit because it meant nothing but IF I shout at you or literally crying in the middle of scolding you that means I am really angry.
#8. I am not fancy of bugs and insects
I don't know why it just a no... I have ever watched a movie about cockroaches eating people when I was very young. Thanks now I am freaking out because of it. I always have this things in my mind that insects or bugs will take over the world and the invasion begins to wipe the existence of human. It was because they multiply in large numbers and very quickly while human lost their breeding speed to them. Then human EXTINCT. (I am sorry to introduce you to this horrible idea. And welcome to my extraordinary mind.)
#9. I never watched Barbie until I was around 12
I have a brother and I spent most of my childhood with him. We play together a lot. We tend to have a wrestling match on my parents' bed, we played playstation together and we watched cartoon together. Throughout my kindergarten I watched Telletubies, The Baldy Man, Mr. Bean, Power Rangers (mighty morphin rangers 2, Zeo, Time Force, SPD, Dino Thunder, mystic force), Kamen Rider, Shin Chan, Dora the Explorer and Marsupilami. And on the elementary, I watched every cartoon in the tv except barbie that happened to be clashing with some other activities I have. Every morning before school, I watched Dora the Explorer, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Catdog, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Oddparents, the Wild Thornberrys, Chalkzone, Danny the Phantom and Spongebob Squarepants. As you see no Barbie but I read some fairytales of princesses because I love books ever since I was little and my mom really likes to ask me to retell the stories. Literally, she bought a book then I read it in a flash and started to tell her the story. When and how did I get to watched Barbie? So when my little sister is around 8, she gets the Barbie DVD and I watched it with her. My first ever Barbie series is "Barbie Thumbelina" Then I started to watched some others with her again.
#10. I get interested in things pretty quickly so does get bored of it
Apparently, I am the kind of person who goes a little of everything is better than being a pro at one thing. I watched Lizzy McGuire and I wanna learn Italian. I see Taylor Swift strumming guitar and I wanna learn to play guitar. I see a man playing a piano and I wanna learn to play a piano. I watched Switched At Birth and I wanna learn sign language. I learn all of them but only in a range of 2-3 weeks. But it doesn't end after those weeks, sometimes the feeling regrow and I started to continue my learning session. I'm a little weird, right? I know I am!
